This course is open to new students as well as experienced practioners of meditation.

The class will be taught by Arawana Hayashi, a senior teacher of Shambhala Buddhism, in-residence at Karme Choling, a Shambhala Buddhist meditation center in Barnet, Vermont.

Ms. Hayashi is a senior student of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, the spiritual and temporal leader of Shambhala International, an association of Shambhala Buddhist meditation and retreat centers worldwide. Ms. Hayashi has been the co-director of the Dance Program at the Naraopa Institute. After initiating study of bugaku (Japanese court dance) with Suenobu Togi, she founded the Jo Ha Kyu Performance Group, which presents contemporary dance and bugaku concerts nationally.  Arawana is a Shambhala Training and Dharma Art teacher.

The St. Johnsbury Shambhala Center is located on Eastern Avenue, above Sunshine Boutique. There is a suggested donation of $20 for this class.
