This program is for everyone, artists and non-artists alike. Participants will explore the sense perceptions through talks and hands-on exercises, including looking at the mind and how it communicates. The more completely we touch, taste, see, hear and smell our world, the greater the possibility of expressing ourselves completely and without separation or aggression. This Part I will include Mudra Space Awareness exercises to highlight the wholeness of artistic expression and how we can live fully and completely in the world. When we begin to experience the world more directly, in all of its vividness, we bring authentic expression to all that we do. Shambhala Art is based on Chögyam Trungpa's teachings on art. Chögyam Trungpa himself was not only a renowned meditation master, but also a poet, filmmaker, painter, ikebana and calligraphy master and author.
Program starts at 9:00 am and ends at 4:30 pm each day. Lunch is included each day. Cost for the program is $100. Discounts for seniors and students are available, as well as income sensitivity discounts. For more information or to register call Tune Faulkner at 626-9612
