Ikebana, or Kado (The Way of Flowers) is a traditional Japanese art form rooted in the spiritual traditions of Shinto and Buddhism. As such, it is a vehicle for developing the inner spirit by bringing awareness into the present moment and expanding that awareness to recognize one’s intrinsic connection to nature.
