These two video documentaries follow the 15-year-old lama, Urgyen Trinley, the 17th reincarnation of the Karma Kagyu sect’s spiritual head, the Karmapa. The youth’s flight from Tibet at the beginning of last year sparked international interest and questions over whether he might eventually become a new spiritual figurehead for the Tibetan people.

This is a love story of exquisite beauty and originality, set in 1950’s & 60’s Vietnam. A shy peasant girl comes to Saigon at the age of ten as a household servant.  Enchanted by nature and attuned to the people around her, she inspires the lives of others.
